RMB: The Right Time to Depreciate

Since the beginning of 2018, the exchange rate of RMB against the U.S. dollar has fluctuated greatly. It appreciated by 3.5 percent in the first three and a half months before it depreciated by 8.7 percent after mid-April (up to August 3, the same below), and an overall depreciation by 4.7 percent in the last seven months so far.
