William Ren

President

William Ren is the President and Chief Operating Officer of CAIFU Media, where he oversees the company’s media business as well as its intersection with new businesses that CAIFU launches. William was selected by the State Council of China as an "Eminent Young Overseas Chinese" under the age of 45 in 2015. William received his Commerce Degree in University of Toronto in 2013.

David Fushtey

General Council

David Fushtey is general and legal counsel for the Governance Counsel, which helps leaders in decision-making on boards and councils. His teaching reflects work with how people get along in multi-interest organizations, with issues from professional conduct and organizational governance, community governance, and international commercial law. He is currently working on his book The Governor: Machiavelli Had it Easy: Thoughts for the Director, Professional and Councillor. Fushtey’s community service includes public policy and campaign work at the federal, provincial and local levels, chair of the Vancouver city planning commission, chair of the Sinclair Business Forum, and service on several community boards.

Huihui Shen

Editor-in-Chief

Huihui Shen is a Research Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She taught at the School of Foreign Languages (then the Dept. of Western Languages) of Peking University from 1981-1985, and has been working at the Institute of Foreign Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences since 1985. She was a senior visiting scholar at Harvard University from 1988 to 1990. Huihui is currently the Standing Deputy Editor and Editor of the World Literature magazine of the Institute of Foreign Literature. She is also a member of Council for the Chinese Association of American Literature Studies, the Council of the Chinese Association of British Literature Studies, and the Council of the Chinese Association of Australian Studies. She was given the award of Outstanding Female with Remarkable Achievement by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In 1998 she joined the China Writers Association.

Bryan Cousineau

VP, Sales 

Bryan Cousineau is one of those rare birds – a native Vancouverite. He attended Vancouver College High School and Vancouver City College before earning two diplomas from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He pursued sales in the air cargo industry for eight years before making a surprise career move, signing on as the Sales Manager for the Real Estate Weekly newspaper. This began a career in advertising that now spans 34 years. Bryan went on to publish his own real estate newspaper, then joined the Certified General Accountant’s Association of Canada as National Advertising Manager. He has worked in all aspects of advertising including newspaper, magazine, and flyers as well as writing and producing print advertisements in all of these disciplines. Bryan is a creative, strategic thinker, who will share a wealth of information and experience with his clients.

Fionn Li

Marketing Director

Fionn Li joined Fortune World Group since 2016. She is in charge of marketing department and planning, organizing and executing large events. Fionn graduated from Simon Fraser University with major in Economics and minor in Labour Studies.

Beijia Lin

Managing Editor

By training a librarian, but worked as a radio journalist for nearly 20 years. Joined Caifu Magazine's editing team in Spring 2016.

After graduating from McGill’s School of Library and Information Studies, Beijia Lin first worked at the McGill library system for three years, then left to work for private companies for a short period, later she joined Radio Canada International, Chinese Section, as a radio journalist.

Starting from her graduate study period at McGill University, Beijia has translated Canadian and American literature into Chinese. Her translation works include short stories by Alistair Macleod; poetry by P. K. Page and Phyllis Webb; works by L. M. Montgomery and Arthur Miller.

Ann He

Creative Director

Ann He has been involved in graphic design and magazine layout for many years, accumulating rich expertise and familiarity with magazine printing processes. Currently she is the Creative Director of CAIFU magazine. Before joining Caifu, Ann worked as an art editor for BC Food magazine, Chaowen magazine and Zhiwei magazine under the Chaowen Media Group. Ann was also involved in the founding of Chaowen and Zhiwei magazines.

Keying Wu

Senior Translation Editor

Keying Wu is a Senior Translator in CAIFU. Dr. Wu received her BA and MA in Chinese Linguistics at Peking University, and her PhD in Linguistics at the University of British Columbia. She has worked at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing and has taught at Willamette University in America. She now lives in Vancouver, and works as an independent scholar, freelance writer, and translator.
