Vancouver, B.C. Canada -- Many politicians, scholars and business leaders from China and Canada met Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Canada-China “One Belt, One Road” Economic forum to discuss opportunities and challenges brought by the “One Belt, One Road” initiative for China, Canada and the world.

Influential Chinese business leaders learned how to navigate Vancouver’s booming Digital and Innovation sectors, as well as British Columbia’s vast agrifoods and natural resources sectors on Thursday, Aug. 20th during the 18th Convention of the Teochew International Federation at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This grand event was hosted by Canada Chaoshan Business Association, and organized by CAIFU.

Government and business delegations from Vancouver, British Columbia and Guangzhou, China gathered Monday, June 15 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their sister city relationship at the second Canada and China Economic and Finance Forum.

The China-Canada Economic and Finance Forum was held in the center of Vancouver at the Fairmont Pacific Rim on June 6, 2014. This important event was co-sponsored by the Province of British Columbia (BC), the Bank of China and HSBC, and hosted by Fortune World. Over 300 political and business leaders, and financial and economic experts, from both countries were in attendance to discuss issues that included RMB business in Canada and economic cooperation between BC and China.
